Travel notes of Arminius Vámbéry (1832-1913) written secretly in Ottoman Turkish in pencil on his journey through Central Asia and kept hidden in the lining of his cloak. They begin on 17th Dhu al-Hijjah but no year is specified. The date of his journey was from 1862 until 1864, according to Vámbéry's memoirs. There is an almanac and a map of the stages from Bukhara together with notes on the genealogies of the various tribes encountered on the journey. Turkish.
