Scope and Content

This volume contains the collected poetry of Yenişehirli Ahmet Ratip Paşa, also known as Ratip (died 1175/1761-62 CE). The contents of the Divan are: a short biographical notice of the poet, concluding with the tarih for his death, composed by Müstakimzade (f 1v); a kaside on the Prophet Muhammad صلعم (ff 2v-4v); tahmisat (ff 4v-15r); gazeller (ff 15v-65r); şarkılar (ff 65v-67v); Tevarih (ff 70v-71v); elğaz (ff 71v-72v); diğerler (ff 72v-73r); rubaiyat (without a section heading separating this from the previous section) (ff 72v-73r); and müfredat (ff 73r-75r). This manuscript was copied by Derviş Ahmet bi Humbaraciyan-i Dergah-i ali, likely in the late 18th or early 19th century CE.
