Scope and Content

This volume contains poems by various authors beginning with a Sakiname (ff 1v-7v) of Faizi Kafzade (died 1032 AH/1622-23 CE) which likely forms part of the poet's Leyla u Mecnun. This Sakiname was copied in 1125 AH (1713-14 CE). After this work, there are a few folios (ff 8r-10v) that contain ebyat by Sabit, Kami, Talib, Nedim, Yahya, Adlı, Selim, Baki, and Rasih, beginning with a quatrain. Poems by Nabi come next (ff 12v-41r), followed by short poems by Sabit, Kami, Talib, Sırri-i Üsküdari, Arif Efendi, Raşit Sani, Sait, İshakzade, Rızai, Sabri, Cemi, Fehim, Feyzi, Sami'i, Nişati, Fethi, Naili, Kelim-i Eyubi, Derviş-i Fasih, Faizi, İsmeti Efendi, Vecdi, Nedim, İzzeti, Dürri Efendi, Mantıki, Reşit, Yümni, Rağıp, Cezmi, Azim, Rami Paşa, Şeyh Nesib-i Mevlevi, Nazim, and Emin. Some folios bear crude floral designs. From f 90v onward, the text consists of a poem by Kami Efendi; a lugaz on Edirneli Şaban Dede; a terkibibent of Esadzade Kaşif Çelebi; some tahmisat of Nabi and Sırri; rubaiyat by Nabi, Nahifi, Neyl, Riyazi, Mantıki, and Fehim; and gazeller by Sait and other poets (ff 92r-106r). The entire manuscript was likely copied in the 18th century CE.
