Scope and Content

This section of the volume Or 13407 contains the following three tracts :. (I) f 98r : An exposition of four views as to the manner in which the Qur'an was transmitted through Cebrail to the Prophet Muhammad صلعم;. (II) ff 98r-v : Risālah fī sūrat al-fātiḥah (رسالة في سورة الفاتحة), a tract on the excellence of the Fatiha in Arabic;. (III) f 99r : A tract on the differences of opinion on various questions between al-Māturīdī and Abū Ḥanīfah and al-Ashᶜarī;. (IV) ff 99v-102r : A short exposition on the virtues of prayer by İbn-i Kemalpaşazade in Ottoman Turkish entitled Risale fi salah. This is followed by Ināyat al-qāḍī wa-kifāyat al-rāḍī (اناية القاضي والكفاية الراضي), a brief commentary on the sūrat al-anfāl by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad Khafājī (1571 or 1572-1659 CE). The section ends with brief notes on the number of angels that are allocated to each believer. This manuscript was copied in 1163 AH (1749-50 CE).
