This volume contains the collected poetry of Seyit Osman Süruri, also known as Süruri-i Müverrih or Süruri-i Hezzal. His death took place in 1229 AH (1813-14 CE). Osman Süruri, who took the mahlas of Hava'i, is considered the greatest Ottoman writer of chronograms. The Divan begins with a na't containing a chronogram giving the date 1210 AH (1795-96 CE) (f 1v), followed by kasideler and commemorative verses (ff 2r-40r); tahmisat (ff 40v-43v); and a series of chronograms in various poetical forms (primarily gazeller) (ff 43v-164r); and ending with rubaiyat (ff 164r-190v). The text contains a single unvan. The manuscript was copied in the early 19th century CE.
