This volume contains the romance of Seyit Battal Gazi, the legendary champion of Muslim peoples against the Greek Empire. It begins with a versified prologue. The narrative is divided into ten sections termed meclis and which start on ff 2v, 19v, 40r, 72v, 99v, 137v, 151r, 196v, 204r, and 217v. Each meclis begins with some lines in mesnevi form. Pieces of verse are also occasionally inserted in the narrative, especially in the early part of the work. The language and orthography of this recension are both archaic, but ff 154-188 and 191-195 present a more modern text supplied in a later hand than the rest of the work. The manuscript was likely copied in the 16th century CE.
