Scope and Content

This volume contains the following three texts:. (I) ff 1v-30v : Risale-yi letaif-i Sandukatu'l-maarif, an anonymous Sufi mesnevi written at Erzincan in 873 AH (1468-69 CE);. (II) ff 31v-84v : Divan-i merhum Haşim-i Brusevi, the poems of Haşimi. It begins with kasideler and contains several poems every beyit of which is a chronogram. The latest of these gives the year 1033 AH (1623-24 CE), which indicates that the poet was alive at this date. The latter portion of the Divan bears the title Divan-i matali. The work was copied by Seyit Nimetullah İbn-i Seyit Mehmet el-maruf bi-Nakibzade el-Müderris in 1038 AH (1628-29 CE);. (III) ff 99v-140v : Tayyar Divanı, the poetical works of Kaymakam Mahmud Tayyar Paşa(died 1223 AH/1808-09 CE), beginning with kasideler. The gazeller begin at f 99v. The text contains four unvans.
