Scope and Content

This volume contains the compiled poetry of Abdürrezak Nevres called Nevres-i kadim (died 1175 AH/1761-62 CE). The Divan begins with a na't, followed by kasideler, many of which are dedicated to Ali Paşa, ending on f 40v. Then there are chronograms (ff 41v-66v), a terciibent (f 66v), a terkibibent (f 67v), and other multiple poems. The gazeller begin on f 70r. Between ff 94r and 129r there are many Persian gazeller, but thereafter the Ottoman Turkish and Persian poetry is mixed. This manuscript was copied in 1246 AH (1830-31 CE).
