This volume contains the Divan of İshak Çelebi as well as two other documents appended to it, and a separate literary work :. ff 1v-57v : Divan-i İshak, the poetical works of İshak Çelebi, the son of a sword smith in Skopje. After having entered the ranks of the ulema as an assistant of Kara Bali, he was successively appointed professor in Edirne, Skopje, Bursa and other cities, before arriving in Istanbul in 937 AH (1530-31 CE). There he undertook a different approach to morality and his daily habits. After having been raised to the post of Kadı of Damascus, he set out in Zulhicce 942 AH (May-June 1532 CE) for that city, where he died in 949 AH (1538-39 CE). This date of death is given by Kınalızade, who quotes, in confirmation of it, a chronogram composed by İshak himself at the approach of his death. The Şakaik, however, gives 943 AH (1532-33 CE) and others cite 944 AH (1533-34 CE) as his date of death. İshak Çelebi also left a rhymed history of Selim I before his accession, entitled İshakname. This copy of the Divan is imperfect at the beginning. The first page contains the last eleven beyts of a kaside, the redif of which is ''tavus''. After four more kasideler, the alphabetical series of gazeller begins on f 4r. Appended to the Divan are the following two pieces: an official report addressed to the Sultan on the state of the fortress of Bayt Jibrin, Palestine, and the good conduct of its garrison, dated 12 Zulkaade 967 AH (4 August 1560 CE) (f 57v); and some elegies of Olvi, the last of which relates to the death of Torak Bey, and ends with a chronograph for the year 970 AH (1562-63 CE) (f 58r). Olvi is the tahallus of Mehmet Derzizade of Istanbul. Torak Çelebi, the poet's patron, was a favourite of Prince Selim, who would later become Selim III;. ff 59v-136v : Gencine-yi Raz, by Yahya Bey of the Dukagjini family of Albania. It was likely composed while he was exiled to the Sancak of Zvornik, Bosnia. This volume is dated the end of Rebiülahir 908 AH (September 1572 CE).
