This volume contains an Ottoman Turkish commentary on, and translation of, the Kasidetü'l-Bürde ('The ode of the mantle'), the renowned Arabic poem in praise of the Prophet Muhammad. The work was composed by Muhammed b. Said el-Busiri (Born 608 AH/1211 CE, died between 694 and 696 AH/1294 and 1297 CE), a celebrated Egyptian poet of Amazigh ancestry. The commentary in the present manuscript is by Mehmed ibn-i Halil, and begins with a preface by him (ff 2v-4r). A list of the ten parts fasıl of the poem is on f 1r. Other inscriptions are on ff 1v-2r and 86r-v. The colophon is on f 85v, and is dated late Cemaziyülevvel 1017 AH/September 1608 CE.
