This volume contains an anthology of Ottoman Turkish poetry in oblong sefine format. The contents are as follows: (ff 1r-1v) Five beyitler (2v-3v) Şarkılar (4r-4v) 'Kıta-i Fazıl Bey' (5r) Poetry headed 'Hicaz kar' (5v) Five beyitler, concluding with the date 1247 AH (1831-32 CE) (6r) A gazel of Molla Cami (6v) A manzume by Hakima (?) Efendi about the Companions of the Cave (7r) 'Der makam-ı Hüseyin-i aşerân' (8v) 'Şarkı der makam-ı rast' (9r-9v) 'Der makam-ı uşşak' (10v-11a) Kıtalar (11v-31r) A lengthy section in one hand, beginning with two ilahiler of Yunus Emre headed 'İlahi mekteb.' These were among the verses chanted according to a certain makam at ceremonies organised for young children beginning their education. This section may end with the prayers on 20v-21v. Other contents of this section include an ilahi of Sezâî-yi Gülşenî (died 1151 AH/1738 CE) on the martyrs of Kerbala on 21v-22r and another of Seyyid Seyfî (died 1010 AH/1601 CE) on love of the Prophet Muhammad beginning on 22r. There are also kasideler between 24v and 30v numbered from one to seven and two ilahiler (33r-v). The volume is undated; however, it is likely from the mid-twelfth century AH/mid-nineteenth century CE.
