Scope and Content

This manuscript contains two texts, both of which were originally composed by Halim Geray Han (Halim Giray Khan) (died 1239 AH / 1823 CE) :. ff 1v-27v : Divan, as edited by his son Şehbaz Geray. It commences with a short prose preface, followed by two terciibend, tahmisat, chronograms and other versified texts (ff 1v-2a); gazeller (6v-25v); and rubaiyat (ff 25v-27v);. ff 28v-71r : Gülbün-i Khanan, a concise history of the Khans of Crimea to Bakht Geray Khan. This text was originally written in 1226 CE (1811-12 CE) according to a note on f 71r. The manuscript was copied by Abdülhamit Haşmet İbn-i Mehmet Salim el-Üsküdari in 1234 AH (1818-19 CE).
