This volume contains a versified translation of Pir Mehmet Zaifi of the Gulistān of Saᶜdī, completed in 950 AH (1543 CE). Little is known about the poet-translator except that he was born at Karatova (contemporary Kratovo, North Macedonia), a town famous for its silver mines. The work is imperfect at the beginning. The text contains eight illuminated unvans, and considerable marginalia. This manuscript is an autograph of the translator and is dated 14 Şaban 950 AH (12 November 1543 CE).
