Scope and Content

This volume contains the legendary adventures of ᶜalī ibn Abī Ṭālib including his conquest of the land of Haver and the conversion of its inhabitants to Islam. The manuscript has been lettered 'Khāv-nāmah' following the spelling of the title on the last folio, which is obviously erroneous. The various sections of the narrative are introduced by the words 'bu yanadan' and, once, 'ez in canip'. A very faded note has been added to f 105r in Divani script in red ink and bears the date 1215 AH (1800-01 CE). This manuscript was copied in 1168 AH (1754-55 CE).
