Scope and Content

CIRCULAR LETTER: Edward O. Pearse, Hon. Sec., Llangoed Parish Church restoration fund, asking for subscription. The church has not been repaired since 1613 and is in a deplorable condition. There are only 600 inhabitants of the parish, mostly small and needy freeholders and tenants who are not in a position to help. The value of the incumbency ios only £112 p. a. Recently three chapels have been erected and the Dissenters are active. Something must be done now or the people will be lost to the church.

List of subscribers attached.

Letter has line engraving of view over the straits to Port Penrhyn and Penrhyn Castle from the church.
