Scope and Content

Comprising: 1. Feoffment - John Lownsdale of Maltby, yeoman, to Christopher Lownsdale of Maltby, yeoman. A messuage in Maltby and two closes on its south side, which he purchased of Leonard Lownsdale and Jane his wife and Robert Humfrey and Phillis his wife, to £40, 10 May 1650; 2. Foeffment - Michael Pressicke of Maltby, yeoman, and Mary his wife, to George Wilcocke of Hemlington (co. York) and Barthomolew Milburn of Marton (co. York), yeoman. A messuage in Maltby in which they live, and two closes belonging, and ground now divided into three closes called Lawfields (or may below fields) and right of way through the Garthes and Flatt, for £302, 18 May 1658; 3. Bond - Michael Pressicke of Maltby and John his brother bound to Bartholomew Milburn in £220, to keep the covenants of a bargain and sale of land in Newby of even date, 31 August 1663
