Standlake Church of England School was built in 1846-1847 on the initiative of the parish's curate, Frank Burges. It has always remained there, building rebuilt and extending in 1893 and 1970-1974. It is now a Primary School. Please see CC4/192 for other records of this school.
The school's records came to Oxfordshire Record Office in three installments. S248/1/A1/2 and S248/1/A1/3 were deposited in 1969 and 1980 and given the respective accession numbers 830 and 1721. S248/1/A1/1 and S248/1/A2/1 were found in accession 3660, a collection of papers collected by Mr Frank Cull, a former headmaster of the school. The remained of this collection was catalogued as P4. The plans were deposited as part of Acc 3139 in September 1990.
Catalogued in November 1993 by Robin Darwall Smith and recatalogued by Alison Smith in August 2013 with additions by Sophie-Elise Anker in July 2015.
