Scope and Content

Woodstock National School was incorporated with a school founded in 1738 by Rev Sir Robert Cocks, rector of Woodstock with Bladon. The school buildings were erected in 1854. A new school building located on Shipton Road was built in 1968, though the old school site remained in use until 1985. The school is now known as Woodstock Primary School.
