Scope and Content

Woodcote Board School, also known as South Stoke Woodcote School was originally founded for 10 children in 1834. The school closed in 1899 and a new school was built. The school was reorganised into two separate schools in 1957; Woodcote County Secondary School and Woodcote Primary School.. The secondary school was renamed the Langtree School in 1958, (please see S296/2 for records of this school) whilst the Primary school moved to a new site adjacent.
