Scope and Content

Collection of investment proposal packs sent to Philippe Carden dating from 1985 to 2005. The proposals are mostly mail merged documents to investors however some address Phillipe Carden more personally.

The collection was accumulated between 1999 and 2005 and the proposal packs include letters which overview each play, investor agreement forms, press reviews and investment proposal prospectuses that include information on: the show, the producers, production, capitalisation, budgets, profit predictions, schedules, cast, risk factors and relevant press articles.

Administrative / Biographical History

Philippe Carden is a manager of CardenWright Literacy Agency with his expertise in theatre. He is a chartered accountant with over 300 clients in the arts as well as being a published author and journalist. His published works include Investing in West End Theatre Productions: How to be an Angel. This is mentioned in the proposal pack for Eve: The Tale of a Sexual Predator inviting Mr. Carden to be an angel in the show. Carden’s research included collecting a variety of investment proposals, however these proposals are dated after the books publication date.
