Scope and Content

Concerns: his assurance to Fox of his continued friendship relating to the appointment of J. Pitt against Fox's wish who wanted the employment for Mr Hamilton; a reminder to Fox that he hesitated about taking the post of First Lord of the Treasury for fear of the pressure it would place on their friendship and that he intends to find a suitable employment for Mr Hamilton which will have the approval of the whole Administration. Unsigned.
