Two statements of costs incurred by John Lawrence of St Ives, solicitor, on behalf of the Sutton and Mepal Level Commissioners and the Manea and Welney Commissioners in the matter of opposition to the Eau Brink Drainage Bill and other law cases, covering the period 1848 to 1860, together with two apparently unrelated letters enclosing details of (further?) costs incurred by the late Lawrence on behalf of the Sutton and Mepal Commissioners and the Somersham Fourth District Commissioners (in the person of William Nix) from Messrs Kain and Sparrow of Chancery Lane, London, acting on behalf of Lawrence's executrix. 18 pages. Statements receipted by John Lawrence on 7 Dec 1860. Letters dated 23 Jan 1865 and 20 Mar 1865. Duty stamps on statements.
