Unveiling of Plaque to Burgess in Maltings in 1987.
When Burgess died in 1979 a member of the school woodwork department, Ernie Gee, made a simple wooden plaque in his memory. After the school was closed in 1986 it was re-sited in the Maltings and unveiled by Glyn Harvey – a few choir members were present to witness it and some of the choir sang a short piece in the concert hall.
