[00:05:16] Community: Parkmill School. [00:05:50] Community: Recalls being carried in a sack to school by his Father when the snow was thick. [00:06:22] Community: Lady Lyons of Kilvrough Manor. [00:07:00] Community: Farm rent was £1 an acre when his father moved to the farm. [00:07:20] Community: Mr Jones sold his farm for a good profit. [00:08:26] Social: Paid 17shillings and 6 pence to join the club in 1928. [00:08:30] Social: Talks about the price of beer and cigarettes. [00:10:06] Social: Annual outing to Ilfracombe from the club on the boat 7s 6d for three nights, every September. [00:12:15] Social: Outingsd to Chepstow Races organised by Mr Morris of the Gower Inn. [00:13:24] Community: Always been a farmer - no pay (family farm). [00:13:57] Community: Snaring rabbits. [00:14:08] Social: Into Swansea on a Saturday night by bicycles. Carlton Cinema. [00:15:01] Social: Sometimes walked to Blackpill and caught Mumbles train into Swansea for a night out in The Strand. [00:15:36] Social: Bidding Weddings - a tradition of Gower. Went on for days!. [00:16:40] Social: In his sisters wedding they walked to the Gower Inn singing with an accordian playing. [00:17:16] Community: Sheep dipping at Beaufort Inn in Pennard. [00:17:44] Community: Built bungalows before the war and let them to holiday makers. [00:18:32] Second World War: During Second World War the bungalows were used to house evacuees from London (CAUTION - expletives used to describe them). [00:19:43] Community: Bungalows now being demolished. [00:19:57] Community: Talks about Sandy Lane bungalows as they became known.
