Grants and Projects (JRRT)

The JRRT has not historically carried out its work according to themed programmes, preferring to receive and consider all applications for grants and assistance. As such, the grant files deposited by the Trust did not reflect any consistent order or groupings. The decision was therefore taken to arrange them roughly in date order, grouping grants to the same recipient together with the earliest existing grant file, with more general records (relating to the annual reviews of grants, indexes of grants, and rejected grants) placed at the beginning of the series.
There are three exceptions to this . For ease of access, all grants relating to the trust's work with the Liberal Party/Liberal Democrats, its work in Africa, and its work in Northern Ireland have been placed together in three separate subseries. See,
