Scope and Content

Printed copies of three songs, the music of which was composed by J. T. Evans: (i) The Fairy's Song to the Water Babies, words by Charles Kingsley (London: Swan & Co., n.d.); (ii) Wind and Wave, words by Norman Bardsley (London: Swan & Co., n.d.). This copy was presented to A. W. Wade-Evans and autographed, 'Your loving brother, J. T. Evans'. The last page of the music is a sheet from another song, the copy having been repaired incorrectly at one time. (iii) A Day that is Dead, words by Tennyson (London: Novello & Co. Ltd., 1916). This was published under the pseudonym 'John Carningli', but the name J. T. Evans has been written under this in the hand of A. W. Wade-Evans. There is a photograph of J. T. Evans on the cover. 12 Ff.
