Administrative / Biographical History

The Amalgamated Society of River and Waterside Workers seems to have been affiliated with the National Amalgamated Stevedores, Lightermen, Watermen and Dockers. In 1925 at least one branch voted to join the Transport and General Workers' Union instead.
