Scope and Content

A manuscript volume of Revivalist Letters containing copies of 60 letters (1719-1742), including 18 between Timothy Thomas and Vavasor Griffiths (1719), 12 from Howell Harris (of which 8 are to Mrs Godwin, 1739-1742), and 9 from Benjamin Seward (all of 1739; 7 to William Seward, 2 to George Whitefield). Partly in the hands of Mrs Godwin (sister of Timothy Thomas) and her son Edward. According to a note on folio 9v, the manuscript was consulted by Thomas Gibbons for his The Hidden Life of a Christian, 1752.
