Copy of protests made by May Billinghurst's brother Alfred on her behalf. 'A detailed account of my sister's case has been sent to Mr McKenna (Home Secretary) by our family doctor' so that McKenna is acting with full medical warning. To Keir Hardie informing him that Mr McKenna has been informed by letter by many people, including the family doctor, of the probably disastrous results of forcible feeding upon her, though probably the letters never got as far as the top. He suggests that his sister should be released before they have brought on again the total paralysis which she suffered as a child. Jun 1913.
