Scope and Content

Agrees that scholarships may not be the best idea and withdraws his request for Lord Penrhyn to provide them. Agrees that the literary side of the school is less important than the technical side and as such the money put aside for this can be spent on the building work instead. States that even if the school is not a success, its building and equipment can be used as a Higher Elementary School, which is wanted in Bethesda and was found useful in Ffestiniog. Mr.Willink (the architect) was careful not to underestimate the cost of building the school. It might be possible to reduce the cost but not without reducing the adaptibility of the school. Asks if Lord Penrhyn would be willing to have Mr.Willink call on him in either London or Bangor to answer questions and to hear Lord Penrhyn's views and suggestions.
