(i) ‘Where pilgrims washed away their ills’ - St Dyfnog’s Church, Llanrhaeadr yng Nghinmerch and a nearby holy well. 15th C - 1966.

(ii) ‘Proud cathedral of the hills’ - Christ Church, Brynymaen. 1895-1902.

(iii) ‘People of the lonely moor' - excavation of Brenig reservoir site on Hiraethog moor and notes on the Bronze Age inhabitants.

(iv) 'A stone for the strong' - St. Michael's Church, the village of Efenechtyd and the 'Maen Camp' (Feat Stone) kept in the church, used in games to celebrate dedication day of the church. 1282-1670's

(v) 'The man from Wales who spoke against the King'- Price family of Giler Pentrefoelas, Baron Robert Price and opposition to William II's grant of Welsh lordships to foreign nobles. 1594-1857
