Scope and Content

The papers are divided into three section: manuscripts (LAC/125/1-18); albums and scrapbooks (LAC/125/19-42); and letters, press-cuttings and miscellanea (LAC/125/43-61).

Various manuscripts including wills, journals, commonplace books, report books, addresses, and verses, 1690-1920. Collected albums and scrapbooks containing newspaper cuttings, prints, water-colours, verses, correspondence and invites, postcards c1810-1940. Collected letters, press-cuttings and miscellanea, including personal papers relating to Ralph Wishart and the Swansea and West Wales Association of Bookmen 1809-1974.

Administrative / Biographical History

Ralph Wishart was a Swansea bookseller and owned 'Ralphs the Books' shop. He was also a member of Swansea and West Wales Association of Bookmen. This collection includes his collection of manuscripts, scrapbooks and albums and personal papers and miscellanea.
