1 large album (60cmx 51cm) containing: (1) 1 loose 100cmx100cm fold out plan entitled “Canterbury Cathedral Cloisters: Plan of the Heraldic Bosses, Looking Up”, which includes analysis of the distribution of 864 bosses (numbered, shown by location and cross-referenced with those given/found by Willement and Griffin); (2) 29 pages with 148 photographs recording the heraldic bosses in the vault of the Great Cloister of Canterbury Cathedral (original photographs by Mr E C Fisher, curator of Maidstone Museum). Photographs are largely arranged a Bay to a page, approximately as they appear in the vaulting to an observer facing the inner wall of the cloister. Accompanying each page is a key to the shields, numbered as in (1) and the beginning of the album contains a typescript explanation of the terms used as well as notes on how to identify the shields, written by Margaret Babington, Hon. Steward and Treasurer, Friends of Canterbury Cathedral (1938).
