Liaison

Comprising correspondence, minutes and papers relating to the Trust's liaison with local and national conservation bodies and its representation on external committees. Files include records relating to Trust representatives on external bodies, 1987-2004; the Society for the Promotion of Nature reserves (SPNR), 1946-1974; Yorkshire Naturalists' Union, 1968-1981; Yorkshire-Lincolnshire Trusts Liaison Committee, 1975-1981; West Yorkshire Conservation Forum, 1985-1989; Nature conservancy Council, 1986-1990; Sheffield Members Group, 1991-1998; Sheffield Wildlife Action Partnership, 1992-2006; Sheffield City Wildlife Trust, 1993-2003.

Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws.

A reprographics service is available to researchers. Copying will not be undertaken if there is any risk of damage to the document. Copies are supplied in accordance with the Borthwick Institute for Archives' terms and conditions for the supply of copies, and under provisions of any relevant copyright legislation. Permission to reproduce images of documents in the custody of the Borthwick Institute must be sought.

The files were weeded for duplicates by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust staff prior to deposit. Material of insufficient archival value has been removed and returned to Wakefield.
