Scope and Content

A collection of film spools, film backings, film boxes and packaging and selected Kodak films, many envelopes recording where and when they were purchased, c.1946-1965. From the Trade Mark and Patents Department. The material here was received by Kodak or deliberately collected where trade mark infringement was suspected or where it was suspected that Kodak film backing was being re-used on non-Kodak film - a practice particularly prevalent immediately after the second world war when ex-war film stock was sold off.
