Scope and Content

A series of agreements between Rochester Optical Co., Rochester, NY and British retailers and manufacturers for the exclusive rights to sell ROC products in Britain or to sell British products in the United States, detailing the financial arrangements of such agreements, 1902-1904. Comprise: ROC and J. J. Griffin and Sons Ltd, 30 December 1903, for exclusive right to sell Poco cameras; Ross Ltd and ROC, 2 January 1903, giving ROC sole agency for Ross lenses in the United States; ROC and A. E. Staley, 15 January 1904, release of A. E. Staley as manager of manager of London branch; RPC and Alfred E. Staley, 26 February 1902, to employ Staley as branch manager for a period of five years.
