Scope and Content

Eighteenth century manuscript accounts during the time of President John Matson, mentioning the Hon. B. Lucas (later acting Governor of Dominica), the Hon. Alexander Maclachlan (Assistant Justice of the Common Pleas, and slave owner), John Shepley, Richard Addison, John Edgar, and W. Weale. Includes two documents, signed by President John Matson, on government expenditure in Dominica with reference to "moneys paid for provisions...issued to the loyal Dominca Regiment, distressed emigrants etc". Also receipted invoice concerning the supply of provisions such as flour, beef and rum to the Dominican government.
