Scope and Content

George Coggins occurs in 'Kelly's Directory of Oxfordshire' between 1883 and 1920. During that time he was a Solicitor and Commissioner of oaths, deputy coroner,clerk to the justices for the North Wootton Petty Sessional Division and (from 1911) the Deddington Sub-Committee of the Oxfordshire Local Pension Committee, and steward of the Duchy manor. He lived at The Laurels

(1883-1895) and The Hermitage. A John Theodore Coggins, Solicitor, of the Hermitage is also recorded in "Kelly's Directory" for 1911.

These documents were deposited in 1987 as accessions 2651 and 2657. They were recatalogued in July 1995.
