Letter from Sir James Mc Grigor to Dr. Thomson. Refers to Dr. Thomsons' investigation and expresses surprise at the result of the Lanark but satisfaction concerning the vaccinated cases. Recommends caution in [?] general conclusions and confirms having forwarded copies of Dr. Thomsons letter to Sir Gilbert Blair, Dr. Christie, Cheltenham, Dr. Rennie, Dublin. London, 12th October 1818.
