Election handbill

This small collection contains one election handbill for John Abbott, Conservative Party Candidate for Newland Ward, Hull City Council.

John Francis Abbott came to Hull in 1976 to study at the University of Hull. He was active in student politics, becoming a committed Conservative. He later taught at the University and became a Secretary of a Ward Committee before running for election onto Hull City Council. Councillor John Francis Abbott is currently serving as a Conservative and Unionist councillor for Bricknell Ward on the Hull City Council.
