Administrative / Biographical History

The Yorkshire Society of Textile Craftsmen was formed in 1952 by the amalgamation of the Yorkshire Warp Twisters' Society, the Bradford and District Association of Warp Dressers, the Halifax and District Association of Warp Dressers and the Huddersfield and District Worsted and Woollen Warpers' Association. It amalgamated with the National Union of Dyers, Bleachers and Textile Workers on 31 December 1980.
