Administrative / Biographical History

Cadle Board School opened during the first week of February 1878. The school was formerly known as Cadle British School. Cadle New Infants School opened 19 Nov. 1906. During November 1918 the Authority changed over from the County to the Swansea Education Committee. Cadle County Primary School was formed from the Cadle Senior Boys and Junior Mixed School, Cadle Infants School and Gendros Junior Mixed School. The school was officially opened on Thursday 25 May 1950 by Mayor W. G. Rees. The school is now known as Cadle Primary School and is situated on Middle Road, Cadle, Swansea.
