Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The National Association of Operative Plasterers was formed in 1860, probably by an amalgamation of three local societies. It changed its name to the National Association of Plasterers, Granolithic and Cement Workers in 1918, but reverted back to the National Association of Operative Plasterers in 1932. It absorbed the Scottish National Plasterers' Union in 1967 and transferred its engagements to the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1968.
