John Loudoun. Dictata on logic. J. Loudoun applied for position as regent at University of Glasgow. His assignment in the competition for the position was on Special Physics. Notes of lectures taken down by James Gilchrist. The notes on logic are mostly by Loudon and date from 1690, after which Loudon went to St Andrews. The notes on physics are probably by John Tran, in whose bachelor class Gilchrist was in 1691
