Professor Harold Richard Goring Greaves 1907-1981

Goring was educated at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the Graduate Institute, Geneva.

He taught at the LSE from 1930, having previously worked in business, a bank, and free-lance journalism. He was Visiting Professor at Columbia University New York, 1959-1960. Goring was also Literary Editor of the "Political Quarterly". He contested (Labour) Camborne, Cornwall, 1935. Goring served with the BBC and RIIA during World War II (1939-1945).
