Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Flintshire Constitutional Association (later the Flintshire Conservative & Unionist Association) had the services of a full time agent for some years before 1921, although there was little organisation. In January 1921, the agent was dismissed and an executive committee assumed responsibility for reorganisation of the association. The county was divided into two areas (East and West) and a number of parish committees were formed. Two part-time agents were also appointed.
On the division of the Flintshire constituency in 1948, the association was divided into East and West Flintshire.
