The records, which cover the formation of the Oxford Electric Company Limited in 1891, the Swindon Electricity Department from 1930 and Southern Electric from 1967, comprise minute books, consumers' books, memoranda and order books, and an agreement to lease land for a sub-station. The collection was given to the office by two donors, the first in September 1998 (accession 4398), the other in October 2008 (accession 5780) .
