Includes correspondence from Africa Centre Ltd, as well as Africa Bureau and the African National Congress.

Letters from The Africa Centre Ltd invite Britten to attend a production of 'The Dark Disciples' by the Negro Theatre Workshop, as well as asking for funding to send the theatre group to take part in the First World Festival of Arts in Dakar.

Letters from Africa Bureau are sent to Britten regarding his role as a patron for the first and second SOS Africa shows. These letters cover fundraising events in which Britten is asked to attend alongside other patrons such as Spike Milligan.

Letters from the African National Congress are regarding Britten's sponsorship for the release of South African political prisoners. Includes a declaration written by the African National Congress about the history of the political prisoners.
