Administrative / Biographical History
The PROS campaign (Programme for Reform of the Law on Soliciting) ran from 1976-1982. In an amendment to the Criminal Justice Act 1982, direct imprisonment for soliciting was abolished. Having achieved the campaign's primary aim, the PROS' organising group agreed to dissolve the campaign.
