Administrative / Biographical History

John E. Blunden (b 1922) graduated from Clare College, Cambridge, undertook military service, 1942-1943, lieut., and began work in the colonial service as a cadet, Northern Rhodesia, 1943. He became district officer, 1946, senior district officer, gr.II, 1962, and assistant secretary, 1964-1965, Zambia Govt. Service. In 1972 he was a member of Lord Pearce's Commission into Rhodesian Opinion.
